I have spent most of my life living on the East Coast. I studied Psychology and Philosophy at Boston University where I became interested in integrating psychotherapy with a more spiritual/holistic approach. In 2009 I found Naropa University in Boulder and entered into the Masters in Contemplative Psychotherapy program. Through Naropa I have become deeply connected to Buddhist principles and practices, cultivating compassion and an open-heart for all beings. I hope to extend this compassion to my clients, alleviating suffering and recognizing the inherent wisdom that exists in all of us. When I am not at school or work, you can often find me doing Yoga, cooking, or hiking the beautiful landscapes of Colorado.

“Remember, we all stumble, every one of us. That’s why it is a comfort to go hand-in-hand” – Emily Kimbrough

I went to CU Boulder for my undergrad in psychology and sociology. I was in the marching band at CU and still attend every home football game. Go Buffs! I am currently a student at Regis University in the counseling program and am studying to take my licensure exam in October. I have worked at Centennial Peaks, an inpatient psychiatric facility, for 3 years as a Mental Health Counselor. I also volunteer at Carriage House, a homeless outreach center in Boulder. I am a Colorado native and I love spending time outside in the sunshine. I also enjoy baking and cooking, yoga, running, and reading.
