Psychotherapy Trainees

The Rape Assistance and Awareness Program offers several one year practicum positions for graduate students seeking training in psychotherapy with adult and teenage trauma survivors. Practicum positions are non-paid, and require a 15-20 hour per week commitment for one year. Students will provide direct client services including intakes, crisis intervention, hotline shifts, and individual and group counseling. Students are required to attend an introductory 40 hour hotline and trauma response training which is offered in October, February and June. Additionally attendance of bi-weekly victim services meetings and case conferences is mandatory. Students will receive one hour of clinical supervision per week.
