RAAP's hotlines are staffed by well-trained, emphatic volunteers that are there to listen and to provide callers with support and resources. We staff three hotlines:
- 24-hour English-speaking hotline 303-322-7273
- 24-hour Spanish-speaking hotline 303-329-0031
- Deaf and Hard of Hearing hotline 303-329-0023 (staffed 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
ANY ISSUE CONCERNING SEXUAL ASSULT AND ABUSE IS APPROPRIATE FOR THE HOTLINES.
RAAP is always looking for dedicated, non judgmental volunteers to staff our hotlines. Hotline training classes are offered approximately 3 times per year. For the upcoming training schedule, please visit our calendar. Volunteer advocates need to attend ALL of the classes, as they are vital to prepare you for the RAAP Hotline. If you are interested in participating, please fill out a Volunteer Application or call the office at 303-329-9922 x302.
"Volunteering for the hotline has given me the opportunity to give back to my community while challenging and enlightening myself. Our callers are some of the most courageous women and men I have ever met. They have experienced so much and it makes me feel so good to be able to support and listen to them. My training and experiences on the hotline have helped me in other ways as well. I think I'm a better friend, family member and employee because I volunteer at RAAP. This work and the people I come into contact with have strengthened my conviction in the inherent goodness of people. The staff and other volunteers at RAAP have become an extended family to me. I am so thankful to have them in my life." ~~Angie Dolan, Hotline Advocate
