Introduction

Program Overview

RAAP's Victim Services Department provides services to both female and male survivors of rape and incest who are ages 13 and older. RAAP does not turn away individuals based on an inability to pay for services.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Since its inception, RAAP has service approximately 423,000 people from the metro-Denver area. In 2003 RAAP served the following:

Victim Services/Counseling: 326
Victim Services/Case Management: 241
Victim Services/Hotline: 3,102
Education Services/APT Programs: 13,504
Education Services/PSSW Programs: 1,065
Canvass/Community Outreach: 81,117
Total 2003: 96,555

Since its inception, RAAP has been committed to filling gaps in existing services rather than a duplication of service. Through the connections in the community, we network and coordinate services. We have collaborative working relationships and formal interagency agreements with Denver Center for Crime Victims (DCCV), Asian-Pacific Development Center, and Arapahoe House. RAAP staff are involved in many community collaborative projects/relationships through which we network and coordinate services (Denver Sexual Assault Interagency Council (SAIC), 18th Judicial District Sexual Assault Interagency Task Force, Victim Services Network, Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA), Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance(COVA).
